Welcome to the new and greatly improved Montana Fisheries Information System (MFISH). Many things have changed and some things remain the same. Most importantly, the web address has changed to: fwp.mt.gov/fishing/mfish. So make sure to update your bookmark. Although many of the data types are the same as the old MFISH (with new data updated constantly into the system by FWP staff), the way you ask a question, results and reports are different so it may take a bit to get used to.

We have also updated the mapping service, which should provide you with better maps and more options of data layers. The ability to download many data types in comma separated value (csv) format has also been improved.Please give us your feedback on the new site by sending comments using the “comments” link at the bottom of this page.
