To provide winter and spring range for bighorn sheep, to provide recreational access to adjacent public lands, to provide winter range for elk and year-round habitat for white-tailed and mule deer and turkeys.

Mount Silcox WMA is located in Sanders County, two miles east of Thompson Falls on Sate Highway 200. Parking area and horse loading ramp is available off State Highway 200.   (Lat 47.592,  Lng  -115.284)
