Now women of all ages can leave the kids at home, escape work place worries and head to summer camp.Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ annual "Becoming an Outdoors-Woman" (BOW) summer workshop from July 27-29 is a great opportunity to learn outdoor skills while indulging in a great summer getaway. Seasoned outdoor instructors, experienced at providing beginners and others with hands on learning experiences, help participants learn more about fishing, fly-tying, shotgun and rifle shooting, canoeing, map and compass reading, plant identification, and backpacking among other skills.Held at the Lubrecht Forest camp east of Missoula, class instruction, meals and lodging are covered under the total class fee of approximately $185. Partial scholarships are available and teachers who attend the workshop can receive OPI continuing education credit.The workshop is designed for women, but anyone 18 years of age and over with a desire to learn new outdoor skills is welcome.The class is filling rapidly, though space is still available.
