Montana’s Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet Sept. 11 in Helena at the FWP Headquarters building on 1420 East Sixth Ave. The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. The Commission will make final decisions on 17 Future Fisheries Improvement project proposals recommended by the 13-member Future Fisheries Improvement Program’s citizens panel, as well as a decision on the emergency drought regulations for Clark Canyon Reservoir and an easement for a proposed county road realignment at the Mayflower Bridge Fishing Access Site east of Whitehall. Hunting related issues include a final decision on the proposed 2003 Annual Rule for the sale of nonresident combination licenses. A tentative decision on the Confederated Salish-Kootenai tribal waterfowl regulations is also expected. Informational discussions will include the topic of Chronic Wasting Disease and cooperative wildlife management on the Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge.
