Women interested in hunting deer or elk this fall are invited to attend an educational clinic sponsored by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. The Deer and Elk Hunting Clinic will be Friday evening through Sunday noon, Oct. 15 - 17 near Charlo. Participants will learn about deer biology and habitat, hunting techniques and equipment, hunting regulations, and field dressing. The class will include a tour of elk and deer habitat with a wildlife biologist; an orientation to the necessary equipment and gear; discussion and practice of hunting techniques; information from a game warden on hunting regulations, buying licenses and how to properly attach your tag; and experience field dressing, butchering, and packaging the meat.
