A Bowhunters Education course will be held in Miles City July 24-26. Classes will be held at the Region 7 Fish, Wildlife & Parks headquarters on July 24 and 25 from 6-9:00 p.m. The class will conclude and tests given on July 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A field course will be held that afternoon at Spotted Eagle Recreation Area. Those interested in taking the class must pre-register and pick up course materials at the Region 7 office by July 18th. This class is limited to 30 students. An online course is offered for a $20 fee for those 18 and older. Anyone taking the online course must also pre-register and attend the field day on July 26. Online students must successfully complete a written test by July 18 and also pass the online test and provide proof of completion to be admitted to the field course. Attendance is mandatory at the field course in order to successfully pass the class. Bowhunters Education is offered free of charge and is required for all first-time archers.
