Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks reminds visitors to Montana’s state parks, Wildlife Management Areas and fishing access sites that they need to leave the fireworks at home.

State law says no one may set off fireworks on any FWP lands. Anyone using fireworks to show their patriotism on FWP lands may be charged with a misdemeanor that can result in a fine up to $500.

The public is encouraged to enjoy Montana’s outstanding state parks, Wildlife Management Areas and fishing access sites over the upcoming holiday by camping, fishing, discovering Montana history, hiking, and many other fun activities. But keep it safe and legal by keeping the fireworks at home!
