Lone Pine State Park Offers Programs For Children

Lone Pine State Park has planned programs for children throughout the summer. Join a member of Lone Pine’s staff on Friday mornings at 11:00 a.m. for a story followed by an exciting hands-on activity. Lone Pine’s Little Saplings is an hour-long program featuring beautifully illustrated children’s nature books that tie in to each week’s educational theme. Come once or join us each week for Friday morning fun! Geared for ages 4-7 and costs $3 per child. See program schedule below.

July 11: "When a Bug is not Just a Bug" featuring the story A Pill Bug’s Life

July 18: "Lets Go Home!" featuring And So They Build

July 25: "Something in the Air!" featuring Skunks

August 1: "Take Off!" featuring Dragonflies

August 8: "Lone Pine Little Ones" featuring Animal Babies in Towns and Cities

August 15: "Rhythm of the Night" featuring Forest Bright, Forest Night

Meet at the Lone Pine Picnic Shelter, located just past the entrance gate on the left. Please bring weather-appropriate clothing, as many activities will be held outside.
