It is illegal to set off fireworks on FWP lands. These lands in northwest Montana include 11 state parks, 11 Wildlife Management Areas, 30 fishing access sites, and other lands including Cedar, Bird, and Goose Islands in Flathead Lake. A person who sets off fireworks on FWP lands can be charged with a misdemeanor and be subject to a fine of up to $500.
