Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks today closed a 1.2-mile stretch of the Big Hole River from Silver Bridge to Divide Bridge near Divide to all boating, floating and swimming. The emergency closure is due to firefighting efforts on the Pump Station Fire that require helicopters to dip water from the river. The river stretch will reopen when the area is safe to the public.
