Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on environmental assessments for improvements to Burnt Tree Hole and Raynolds’ Pass Fishing Access Sites on the upper Madison River south of Ennis.

At the Raynolds’ Pass site, F WP proposes to add a new approach to Highway 87, construct a new entrance road and 15-20 stall gravel parking area, improve the existing hand-launch boat ramp, and install a concrete vault latrine.

At the Burnt Tree Hole site, FWP proposes to replace and reorient the deteriorated boat ramp and redesign the boat ramp approach, loop roads, and parking areas. In addition, FWP proposes to implement stabilizing measures for the eroding riverbank.

The draft EAs are available for review at the FWP regional office in Bozeman (1400 S. 19 th Ave.), on the FWP website under Recent Public Notices at http://fwp.mt.gov/publicnotices/, or by calling 406-994-4042.
