Grizzly Killed On Highway On Swan Highway

On Saturday, September 20, a young grizzly was hit by a car and killed on the Swan Highway (Highway 83) near the Rumble Creek Road junction. FWP Grizzly Bear Management Specialist Tim Manley said that a passerby saw the dead bear and contacted FWP. Manley retrieved the bear; the grizzly’s carcass will be sent to the FWP Wildlife Lab in Bozeman for analysis.
