Fwp Looking For Information On Dead Grizzly Near The Thompson River

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Enforcement and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) are conducting a joint investigation into the death of a grizzly bear found in the Fishtrap drainage of the Thompson River about 18 miles north of Thompson Falls. The bear was recovered October 24. The bear’s carcass was significantly decomposed. Anyone with information related to this mortality can contact Warden Captain Lee Anderson directly at 751-4561, the USFWS Agent in Missoula at 329-3000 or by dialing 1-800-TIP-MONT. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
