Special Holiday Candlelight Tours of Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park will be offered in December 2008 on the following Saturdays and Sundays:

Adults (12 and up)—$15.00
Children (6–12)—$8.00
Children 5 and under are discouraged from attempting the tour.

Tour size is limited.
Candle lanterns will be provided.
Tours will begin at the Caverns upper visitor center located three miles into the park on the main park access road.
The tour is two miles and two hours. 1¼ miles of this is outside and may require walking to and from the cave through snowy conditions. Dress for walking in snow, wind and cold temperatures.
For safety reasons, the first (upper) half of the Caverns will be shown with the lights on. The lower half of the cave will be toured by candlelight.
Parents need to use their own judgement to determine if their children will be comfortable in the darkness of the cave. Young children will not be given a candle lantern.
No food service is available in the store at this time of year. Coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies will be available at the visitor center.
Tours may be canceled on short notice in the event of severe weather.
