Recreation


One of the many things we are proud of in Montana is the seemingly endless opportunities to get outside and experience everything Montana has to offer. Many organizations and programs are designed and devoted to improving or maintaining these recreational opportunities in Montana. The Recreation Bureau of Fish, Wildlife & Parks takes an active role in assisting and contributing to the quality of life in Montana by managing funds for various recreational activities and resources. The Recreation Bureau serves as a consultant to FWP and other state and federal agencies regarding outdoor recreation issues; produces a number of important statewide reports, including the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan and the Montana State Trails Plan; and administers five different outdoor recreation grant programs, including:
