Back Country Horsemen of Montana – This club strives to perpetuate the common sense use and enjoyment of horses in America’s back country and wilderness. They work with public agencies to ensure that public lands remain open to recreational stock use and to assist these agencies with maintenance and management of public lands.

National

American Horse Council – This organization is based in Washington D.C. and works by communicating with Congress, federal agencies, and the media on the behalf of all horse related interests.
Back Country Horsemen of America – Back Country Horsemen of America is a non-profit corporation made up of state organizations, affiliates and at-large members. They are dedicated to preserving the historical use of recreational stock in the backcountry.
Equestrian Land Conservation Resource – This national group is dedicated to preserving and promoting land for equestrian use.
