This is what could happen in recreation areas if the public use regulations were not followed.

Obey User Regulations!

Violators are subject to expulsion from an area, a fine, imprisonment, or all three. Violations of these regulations should be reported to the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. If a local officer cannot be reached, telephone 1-800-TIP-MONT (846-6668).

No glass bottles on the beach. Do not relocate bouys. Boats, swimmers maintain safe distance. Don't leave boats unattended. Don't destroy trees or other area features. Observe Motor Vehicle Codes. Fee permit required where posted. Confine pets to leash. Discharge of weapons prohibited. Fireworks prohibited. Commercial use prohibited. Put litter in containers. Operate over-snow vehicles in authorized area only. Camping more than 14 days is prohibited. Livestock is prohibited Build fires in fireplaces only. Don't enter closed areas. Topsoil disturbance is prohibited. Don't leave campsite unattended for more than 48 hours. Extinguish all fires. Disorderly conduct is prohibited. Please use established boat ramps. Keep motor vehicles on authorized roads. Camp in designated areas. Permit required for groups of over 30.
